World Mental Health Day; Geoffrey shares his thoughts about dealing with Depression…by Geoffrey Katz

World Mental Health day, October 10, 2017.

I used to hide it, but it was never hidden.

Silent cries for help are the loudest.

Don’t assume everything will be alright.

Someone will always be willing to help.

I was afraid to talk to someone, now I’m afraid of what happens when I don’t.

I’m not the same person every day, but I am the same person every day.

Never be afraid of asking for help.

Never be afraid of asking someone if they need help.

Never assume it’ll get better on it’s own.

I suffered undiagnosed for too long. I accepted help. It seemed like the hardest thing to do at the time, but it was the best course of action.

I’m alive because of the help I received and still receive today.
